GPS is powered by a worldwide radio navigation system made up of 31 satellites above the Earth, beaming signals to ground stations, which enables communication with your GPS device and calculates your vehicle's speed, travel route, and more. The latest Linxup GPS Tracking Solutions and Devices operate on the 4G network.
- A GPS device, connected to a vehicle, asset, etc., receives radio signals from GPS satellites and calculates its exact location.
- The GPS device then transmits its coordinates, movement, and speed to a cellular tower. (If not in cell range, the device stores the data and sends it when a connection is re-established.
- The information is forwarded to the Linxup servers, where we analyze the location and movement data.
- We then provide location, history, reports, alerts, and so much more on our easy-to-use, best-in-class customer portal.
